Born and raised in Southern California, Linda's desire to create art started at a young age. Beginning with private art lessons at the age of 12, Linda continued her education studying with fine painters such as Scott Christensen, Matt Smith, Joni Falk, Joan Potter and many more. While in her twenties Linda lived in Carlsbad California, painting seascapes, landscapes and teaching Oil Painting classes. At the age of 28, Linda met her husband Joe while on a painting trip in Yosemite, California. One year later they married and moved to Santa Fe, New Mexico.
In New Mexico, Linda was introduced to Plein air painting and the importance of painting from life. Studying and painting from life opened a new era in her career. The enjoyment one receives while working out on location, or the fun in arranging props, smelling the flowers and feeling the fruit, adds such life to ones work. Living in Santa Fe for eight years, working around other artist and the unique culture of Santa Fe was a big influence on her. Linda and her family now reside in Mesa Arizona where she continues to share her enthusiasm teaching at the Scottsdale Artist School.
